Rotana Rewards - xnPOS User Guide
Introduction
This document will show the various features and integration between xnPOS and Rotana Rewards / DailyPoints
Rotana Reward is the Loyalty member program run by Rotana Hotels. The integration is connected to 2 separate systems .

Earn Process
The Rotana App is used to by the guest to get a Token used for Earn (earning points) or Burn (redemption of points).
When a guest want to earn points, he gets a token from the application and gives it to the waiter. The token is entered in xnPOS and validated (an enquiry is done on Neorcha App), and the discount applied.
When the check is closed, a message is sent to DailyPoints with the closure information required
Burn Process
A burn can only be done if a Earn has bee done before.
The process will be similar to a Earn. The client will get a token from the Rotana App. The waiter will enter the token in POS and the redemption value will be returned.

The following video shows a standard Earn process, where the client will get a Token from their application.
- The client get a token
- Token is entered in xnPOS
- Membership details and discount level is retrieved and applied
- Payment is made
- Points are added to the member profile.

Earn Points during BlackOut Period
During certain periods, Rotana Rewards members are not entitled to discounts, but will still earn points.
The following video shows a standard Earn process, where the client will get a Token from their application.

- The client get a token
- Token is entered in xnPOS
- Membership details and discount level is retrieved and applied
- Discount is then cancelled by the cashier (future release will show an additional prompt)
- Payment is made
- Points are added to the member profile

The following video shows a standard Earn & Burn process, where the client will get a Token from their application first for the Earn and then the Burn.
A Burn can only be made if a Earn has been applied before.

- The client get a token for Earn
- Token is entered in xnPOS
- Membership details and discount level is retrieved and applied (bill would then be reprinted)
- The client get a token for Burn
- Redemptions value is received and added to Rotana Reward Tender.
- Payment for the outstanding balance is made
- Points are added and deducted to the member profile

Burn (Points Redemption) with over tender in points
The following video shows a Earn & Burn process when a amount to be redeemed is higher than the check balance. The redemption value is adjusted to the amount due.

- The client get a token for Earn
- Token is entered in xnPOS
- Membership details and discount level is retrieved and applied (bill would then be reprinted)
- The client get a token for Burn
- Redemptions value is received and added to Rotana Reward Tender.
- The redemption value is reduced to the amount due
- The check is closed automatically as it is now a zero balance check.
- Points are added and deducted to the member profile
